So without further ado,
The waters closed over my head and I surged downward, pulling slowly and steadily at the water. The pressure welled itself around my suit and the bubbles streamed endlessly upward as I took slow breaths from my oxygen tank. I sank farther into the abyss and the long banners of sunlight stopped waving above me. In the darkness, rainbows of light flashed and ribbons of color rippled freely, light surging forth from the city. I descended slowly, watching the schools of fish swarm around the massive clear-blue dome. The lights of the city flashed irregularly and shone through the dark like a radiant beacon.
I had found it and it was mine to keep.
